10 – Therapy dropout | Agnes Schneider-Heine

August 9, 2025 by Mathieu Norton-Poulin

This 24-minute video features a TFP session during the middle phase of treatment focused on the threat of terminating therapy and not paying the bills. The patient presents with a narcissistic personality disorder with antisocial and addictive features, and the session explores the negative transference
The therapist demonstrates TFP techniques like clarification, confrontation and transference interpretation to address role reversal, devaluation of the therapist and avoidance of attachment. This segment is useful for illustrating managing aggression, devaluation and the threat of terminating therapy. It offers a clear example of treating a crisis in the psychotherapy of a narcissit in the context of transference analysis.
