An Introduction to Transference-Focused Psychotherapy: Its Application to Borderline and Narcissistic Personality Disorders

Course Description: Transference-Focused Psychotherapy is grounded in contemporary psychoanalytic theory since we believe that psychoanalytic thinking has much to offer in terms of understanding and treating personality disorders. However, our approach includes specific modifications of technique to address the therapeutic needs of patients with borderline and other personality disorders.

Main Presenter: Diana Diamond, PhD
Diana Diamond, PhD is Professor in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at the City University of New York, Adjunct Professor in Psychiatry at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and staff of the Personality Disorders Institute at the New York Presbyterian Hospital under Director Otto Kernberg, MD. She is author or editor of a number of books including most recently Attachment and Sexuality.
