Monica Carsky

Monica Carsky, PhD. is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in Psychology at Weill-Cornell Medical College, and a Senior Faculty Fellow in the Personality Disorders Institute at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has worked with Otto Kernberg for over 40 years, and served as a research therapist in three TFP studies. She is a certified TFP therapist, teacher and supervisor, and a list of her publications is available on her CV at TFPNY.org. Currently, Dr Carsky teaches the one year TFP-NY Foundational Course (Sept 2025-June 2026) with Elizabeth Graf. She is a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association and on the faculties of the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, where she teaches courses on personality disorders and TFP. She also presents TFP workshops at the American Psychological Association National Meeting, and provides national and international individual and group supervision.
