Monica Carsky

Monica Carsky, PhD. is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in Psychology at Weill-Cornell Medical College, and a Senior Fellow in the Personality Disorders Institute at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has worked with Otto Kernberg for over 40 years, and served as a research therapist in three TFP studies. Dr Carsky is a certified TFP therapist, teacher and supervisor and a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association, The International Society for Transference Focused Psychotherapy, and TFP-NY. In addition to publications on psychotherapy for personality disorders, Dr Carsky teaches courses on personality disorders and TFP in New York at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Additional TFP teaching includes invited lectures, workshops at the American Psychological Association National Meeting, and national and international individual and group supervision.
