Borderline Personality Organization/Disorder Psychotherapy: TFP in Practice – Case Supervision

Clinical supervision holds a central place in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) training. In this context, Psyclimède is offering an open online supervision session with Prof. Louis Diguer. This activity will allow a broad audience to observe, in real time, the implementation of the TFP method through the discussion of an anonymized clinical case. It is intended both for current participants in the TFP training who wish to deepen their understanding of the technique, and for professionals seeking to discover TFP through a concrete clinical situation. Live supervision offers a privileged window into how the TFP framework is applied to complex situations. Participation serves as an entry point for joining, as an observer, one of the active TFP supervision groups in Belgium or abroad.

The session is organized around the presentation of a clinical case, prepared in advance either by a member of Psyclimède’s training team or by a participant who requested to do so at registration. The case is submitted to Prof. Diguer, who provides live supervision on it. The case presented must be carefully anonymized prior to the session, in accordance with the ethical requirements applicable to any videoconference supervision. Participants are informed at registration of the anonymization procedures expected should they submit a case. Observers, while following the clinical discussion of the supervision, will be able to ask Prof. Diguer questions at the end of the session. This format allows both learning from the supervision dynamic and gaining a deeper understanding of the clinical reasoning specific to TFP through a live case.
