This 68 minutes video contains a compilation of the content of the video’s 16, 17, 18 and 19 as well as a commentary of the therapist on what she did and why. It is a good educational video presenting an overview of: A Structural Interview of the patient and the contract setting; a breach of the contract and the analysis of feelings behind it; an example of rage and negative transference, the containment and analysis of it, as well as a demonstration of one of the most important competencies of a TFP-therapist: to tolerate the anger, look ‘through the eyes of the patient’ at the therapist and naming the ‘dyad’ (instead of the therapist defending herself). It also contains an interpretation: it shows that the patient gets so very angry, because she longed so much for the good care. So, the theory of TFP – moving slowly towards integration by using clarification, confrontation and interpretation – is illustrated in this video. Finally, an evaluation and ‘goodbye-session’ is shown, with the accent on the relevance of getting all the negatives on the table.
